Buconic Logistics Limited (“Buconic”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is pleased that you are using our logistics, transportation, fleet management, tracking, digital platforms, and related solutions.

By accessing, registering for, or using any Buconic service, website, platform, application, telematics system, tracking solution, or related product (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy & Data Protection Notice (“Privacy Policy”). Please read it carefully.

Our Services are diverse. Accordingly, additional terms, operational requirements, or product-specific notices (including licensing, safety, age, or regulatory requirements) may apply. Such additional terms form part of your agreement with Buconic where applicable.

a) Our Services

You must comply with all policies, guidelines, and instructions made available within Buconic Services.

When you visit Buconic websites, platforms, or applications, our servers may automatically and temporarily store connection and usage data for purposes including system integrity, security, compliance, diagnostics, and operational continuity. Such data may include:

  • IP address

  • Date, time, and duration of access

  • Device identifiers

  • Browser type and operating system

All software, platforms, systems, designs, trademarks, logos, operational data structures, and content remain the exclusive property of Buconic or its licensors. Legal notices must not be removed, obscured, or altered.

Some content available through Buconic Services may originate from third parties. Such content remains the responsibility of the respective third party. Buconic may review, restrict, or remove content that violates applicable law, contractual obligations, or internal policies.

Buconic may send service announcements, administrative messages, operational alerts, and security notifications. You may opt out of certain non-essential communications where permitted by law.

Where Services are accessible via mobile devices, driver tablets, or vehicle-mounted systems, such Services must not be used in a manner that distracts users or violates traffic, transport, or safety laws.

b) Your Personal Information

Personal information (“Personal Data”) means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, directly or indirectly.

This includes identifiers such as:

  • Name, address, telephone number, email address

  • Identification numbers and licensing data

  • Location data and online identifiers

  • Employment, professional, or contractual information

  • Financial and transactional data

Information that cannot reasonably be linked to an identifiable individual (for example, anonymised or aggregated operational data) is not considered Personal Data.

Information provided during onboarding, contracting, service requests, or communications, including names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses.

Relationship & Business Information

Information that assists Buconic in managing business relationships, including payment preferences, service usage patterns, linked third-party accounts, and contractual references.

Billing details, invoices, payment records, settlement data, transaction timestamps, and amounts. Buconic limits collection of sensitive payment data to what is strictly necessary and compliant with applicable standards.

Operational & Logistics Information

Shipment data, cargo descriptions, waybills, consignment records, routes, delivery confirmations, proof-of-delivery records, timestamps, and service performance data.

Interaction & Communications Data

Emails, messages, customer support records, call recordings (where permitted), training and quality-assurance records, and platform communications.

The legal basis for processing includes contractual necessity, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate business interests, and consent where required.

c) Mode of Collection of Personal Information

Buconic collects Personal Data through lawful means, including:

  • Direct provision by customers, drivers, employees, contractors, and partners

  • Registration and use of Buconic websites, apps, platforms, and tracking systems

  • Contracts, onboarding documents, and service instructions

  • Customer service and operational communications

  • Integration with authorised third-party systems and platforms

  • Publicly available sources, where permitted

Buconic may receive Personal Data from third parties authorised to share such information, including shippers, consignees, insurers, regulators, and technology providers, for purposes such as transaction facilitation, compliance, tracking, and dispute resolution.

d) How Your Personal Information Is Used

Buconic processes Personal Data to:

  • Provide logistics, transport, fleet, and tracking services

  • Fulfil contractual obligations and service instructions

  • Enable shipment execution, monitoring, and verification

  • Authenticate users and drivers

  • Prevent fraud, misuse, and unauthorised access

  • Resolve disputes and manage claims

  • Comply with regulatory, tax, transport, and labour obligations

  • Improve services, systems, and operational efficiency

Buconic may generate anonymised and aggregated datasets for analytics, modelling, reporting, and strategic planning.

e) Disclosure of Personal Information to Other Parties

Buconic may disclose Personal Data as necessary to:

  • Customers, consignees, and authorised agents

  • Drivers, subcontractors, and fleet operators

  • IT service providers, hosting platforms, and system vendors

  • Financial institutions, insurers, auditors, and professional advisers

  • Regulatory authorities, courts, or law enforcement agencies

All recipients are required to process Personal Data in accordance with confidentiality obligations and Buconic’s instructions. Buconic does not sell Personal Data.

f) Will My Data Be Passed On

Buconic does not share, sell, or disseminate Personal Data to third parties except:

  • Where required by law

  • Where necessary for contractual performance

  • Where you have provided explicit consent

External service providers processing data on Buconic’s behalf are contractually bound to confidentiality and data-protection obligations and are subject to technical and organisational controls.

i) Driver-Specific Privacy & Tracking Provisions

Driver Data Collected

Buconic may collect driver-specific data including:

  • Identification and licensing details

  • Employment or contractor records

  • Vehicle assignment and fleet data

  • GPS location, route history, speed, mileage

  • Hours-of-service and rest-period data

  • Incident, accident, compliance, and safety reports

Purpose

Driver data is processed strictly for:

  • Fleet and route management

  • Safety, compliance, and incident prevention

  • Regulatory and contractual obligations

  • Asset protection and theft prevention

  • Customer service and delivery verification

Tracking & Telematics

Vehicles may be equipped with GPS, telematics, dashcams, or monitoring systems. Drivers acknowledge that:

  • Tracking may occur during operations

  • Data may be analysed in real time or retrospectively

  • Tracking is limited to legitimate business purposes

Drivers must not tamper with or disable tracking systems.

j) Your Options & Data Subject Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • Request access to Personal Data

  • Request correction, deletion, or restriction

  • Object to processing

  • Request data portability

Requests may be subject to verification, legal exceptions, and contractual obligations.

k) Data Retention & Security

Buconic retains Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfil legal, contractual, and operational obligations.

l) Third-Party Privacy Policies

Third-party platforms integrated with Buconic Services operate under their own privacy policies. Buconic is not responsible for third-party data practices.

Buconic may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through appropriate channels. Continued use of Services constitutes acceptance of updates.
